Here at Clean Pro in Fairbanks we are committed to bringing your family the best and greenest carpet cleaning services. Our carpet cleaning system does not expose your family to any harsh chemicals. We know that keeping your family safe is important to you. For that reason, we would like to share some of our favorite, natural home cleaning products. Today we will be focusing on cleaners for an essential room in your home, the bathroom.

Daily Shower Cleaner

This is a super simple way to keep your shower clean on a daily basis. Take a spray bottle, fill it halfway with vinegar, add 2-3 tablespoons of dish soap, and fill the bottle with warm water. Gently shake to mix. Spray this just after you shower.

Bathroom Cleaner

You can make your own citrus infused vinegar bathroom cleaner, and it is so easy. The truth is, this cleaner doesn’t just have to be used in the bathroom. You’ll need peels from oranges, limes, and/or lemons. Place them into a glass jar, and add vinegar. The longer you let the concoction sit, the stronger it is. If you can wait at least two weeks, do it. When you are done waiting, pour the liquid into a spray bottle, and there you have it. You can use this for all of your bathroom surfaces. Remember that if you’d like to use it as a window or glass cleaner, make sure you dilute it with water.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner: Baking Soda & Vinegar

Get out your baking soda, put some in the toilet bowl, and allow it to sit for an hour. Add one cup of vinegar, allowing it to sit for just another 5 minutes. Flush and done. If the toilet is in need of some serious care, you might also have to use a bit of elbow grease, but this is a great and natural way to maintain your toilets’ cleanliness.

Bathtub Scrub

Do you know that you can use eggshells, and a couple of other things, to make some amazing bathtub scrub? You will need quite a few eggshells for this DIY scrub, so you can begin (over about a week) saving them up and planning on cooking a lot of eggs. You will need 3 dozen eggshells to make the scrub, ½ cup of baking soda, and 15-20 drops of essential oils. The essential oils is an optional ingredient, but remember the antibacterial properties it has.

- First you will need to rinse of the eggshells, then boil them for about 10 minutes. This is only to prevent bacterial growth on the egg shells. After boiling, let them sit for 8-12 hours and then place them in the oven for 10 minutes. They must be absolutely dry before the next step.

- Now, you have to crush up the eggs. What works best, so that they are completely powder, is a coffee grinder.

- After the eggs have become a calcium powder, mix the essential oils and baking soda in. Make sure there are no clumps!

- Put the mixture in a large mason jar, attaching a wire mesh top over the jar. Store it in a cool, dark environment. When you are ready to use it, simply take the top off of the jar and use the mesh as a shaker.

As you noticed, vinegar and baking soda are major ingredients in making at home, natural cleaners. You should definitely add them to your shopping list. After you have experimented with some of these products, and your bathroom is spotless, you might move on to other rooms in your house. While there are also a lot of at home remedies for removing stains from carpet, you may discover it is time to bring in a profession.
